Heraldic Art and Heraldry
A different way to learn about your ancestors, your town and even your country.
Heraldic Art and Heraldry are in a way the ancestors of modern branding and graphic design.
In the middle ages, in battlefields as in jousting, there was a very important need to understand who was who to know on which side of the battle you were.
From this need, the figure of heralds and heraldic artists arise, as the one able to identify and also produce coat of arms.
Heraldic Art and Heraldry give to the ones who know how to read an incredible amount of information: from their shape to the combination of two or more arms, you can understand if it belongs to a woman or a man or which families are joined through that bloodline.
My earliest research was to design the family tree of Fredrick II Hohenstaufen when I was barely 14 years old, one of my absolutely favourite people in history.
Now, I’m currently studying both Heraldic Art and Heraldry through courses at Reigate school of arts and the Institute of Heraldic and Genealogical Studies and I hope one day to work with the College of Arms.
I’m at the beginning of a long journey and I’m so excited to go even deeper into this incredible branch of art.
Everything looks terrific and better than the pictures. You have exceeded my expectations! The next time you hear from me , I should have the crest framed and hung. Thanks so much for your talented work.
I couldn’t have found anybody better. I’m sure this is not our last collaboration.
